First State Food Relief Funds
Delaware Governor Matt Meyer declared a State of Emergency to safeguard food benefits for Delawareans in November. With SNAP benefits halted by the federal government beginning November 1, the governor has tasked the Department of Health and Social Services (DHSS) with establishing the First State Food Relief Funds program to protect Delawareans’ access to food in the weeks leading up to Thanksgiving.
